New Mexico State upsets No. 15 Nevada

New Mexico State trailed 34-33 at the break but used an early 10-2 spurt, bookended by two Peete three pointers, to grab a 51-46 lead just under seven minutes into the second half.

A Marcelus Kemp layup followed by two Sessions free throws brought Nevada back within a point, but the Aggies responded with a 9-0 run, capped by two Nelson free throws that gave New Mexico State a 62-52 advantage with less than eight minutes left in the half.

Two baskets by Kemp and Fazekas brought the Wolf Pack within five, 68-63, with just over two minutes left in the game, but the Aggies hit their free throws down the stretch to clinch the win.

Game Notes

New Mexico State ended a three-game losing streak to the Wolf Pack and leads the all-time series with Nevada, 14-8...Kemp finished with 14 points and eight boards for Nevada.
